Phyllostachys aurea is an excellent bamboo with thick, green stems that turn yellow when in full sun, and often has attractively deformed internodes towards the base. This Golden Bamboo, also known as Fish Pole Bamboo, is one of the easiest bamboo for growing in the UK.
