Trachycarpus Fortunei is one of the most popular and hardiest palms for the UK. The Chusan or Windmill Palm from China tolerates temperatures down to -17°C without problem, looking good in summer or winter. Large green, fan-like leaves grow from a hairy, matted trunk, which sheds old leaves as it ascends. Its yellow flowers bloom freely thoughout the summer.
