Probably one of the best known and widely grown white grape vines in the world, Vitis vinifera Chardonnay is used everywhere from the provinces of Burgundy and Champagne to the warmer climates of Australia. Although it can be a bit of a slow starter, once established it will thrive and develop in to a strong and healthy vine producing elegant clusters of sweet tasting golden grapes that are perfect for both eating and winemaking.
