Fargesia murieliae is a compact, medium-sized Umbrella Bamboo with yellow-green canes, and bright green leaves. The tightly-packed canes of this popular form of Umbrella Bamboo look especially effective grown in large containers. As long as the roots are restricted the Fargesia murieliae also makes an ideal specimen plant for small gardens, and can be grown as an informal hedge.
