Astelia Westland is a particularly attractive flax that has silver and dark green, sword-like leaves that will turn red in cold weather. Due to its change in colour it does provide continuing interest in the garden all year round. Astelia Westland prefers full sun and moist but well-drained soil, not too rich in nutrients and feeding is rarely required.
