A popular, slow growing Acer, palmatum Bloodgood maintains its red leaf colour longer into the summer than most. It is one of the darkest reds of any Japanese Maple. The bright red autumn colours and dark purple twigs and stems add winter interest. Acer palmatum Bloodgood makes a highly ornamental tree for the small contemporary garden.
