Highly ornamental bark especially attractive in winter. Betula papyrifera is a striking, deciduous tree with gleaming white bark which peels away in large strips on mature trees. Attractive horizontal bands appear on the trunk of the Paper Bark Tree as it ages. Large dark green leaves turn a stunning rich butter yellow to golden yellow in autumn.
