Native to the dry granite ridges of the foothills of the southern Sierra Nevada, California, this evergreen shrub has fabulously fragrant, cup-shaped, pure white anemone-like flowers in June and July. The glossy, narrow, dark green foliage of the Bush Anemone provides interest all year round in the garden.
Carpenteria californica is perfect trained into a fan shape, ideal in the border or trained against a sunny wall in well drained soil. Protect from cold, dry winds.
