Attractive, circular juvenile foliage, Eucalyptus perriniana is a fast growing, tough evergreen tree that will flourish in dry sandy soil, full sun and arid conditions. Smooth flaking cream, grey or green bark with rounded blue-green young leaves turning shiny with age with white or cream flowers in summer. Coppice each year to ensure masses of circular leaves.
Eucalyptus perriniana's common name, the Spinning Gum, is so called when the leaves die, they remain on the stem spinning as the wind blows.
