Sambucus racemosa Sutherland Gold - 'Elder'

Sambucus racemosa Sutherland Gold has long been considered the best golden-leaved form of Elder, the leaves are deeply cut and glowing yellow, particularly in early summer. Clusters of fragrant white flowers appear in June. The delicate foliage is less susceptible to sun-scorch than other golden, cut leaved Elder varieties and holds its colour better, looking at its best in partial shade.
